NUCLEU PROGRAMME 2018 – 2018

Innovative Technologies and Systems for the Improvement and Optimization of Processes in Agriculture and the Food Industry / AGRI-SINOPT – Code PN 18 30

The proposed AGRI-SINOPT Nucleu Programme aims to increase the institute’s applied research capacity in its field of activity by developing improved and optimized innovative technologies and systems intended for agriculture and the food industry.

To this end, the programme objectives were established in alignment with the European Commission’s Circular Economy strategy, which includes the two main components addressed by the AGRI-SINOPT Nucleu Programme: Agriculture and the Food Industry. Additionally, the programme objectives are in accordance with the topics addressed in the Smart Specialization Areas defined by the National Strategy for Research, Development and Innovation 2014–2020.

The innovative technologies and systems to be developed within AGRI-SINOPT meet the objectives’ targets for the agriculture and food industry sectors and will facilitate technology transfer to economic agents, aiming for the application of research results in the economic environment, including the development of maintenance services, technical assistance, and basic support for continuous professional training.

The proposed Nucleu Programme primarily aims to increase the institute’s research capacity in the direction of smart specialization through the development of innovative technologies and smart technical equipment to be implemented and used in agriculture, forestry, and the food industry.

            The innovative technologies and smart technical equipment specific to agriculture, forestry, and the food industry represent an economic market niche that will generate high added value and stimulate many economic operators to implement research results, including the development of maintenance services, technical assistance, and foundational support for professional training..
