Mission of the Projects and International Relations Department
The mission of the department is to carry out activities that promote INMA’s image, increase its visibility, and establish new collaborations with institutions in the field from other countries. It also provides support to INMA researchers for the formation of consortia/partnerships and for drafting proposals to participate in international project competitions in fundamental research, applied research, innovation, and digitalization in the fields of agriculture and the food industry (across the entire production chain). These activities are aligned with the Green Deal Strategy, the Resilience Strategy, and the Farm to Fork Strategy, while also respecting the principles of the Circular Economy and the Zero Waste concept.
Project Management and International Relations
- Establishing connections with research institutes, universities, and economic agents in INMA’s field of activity and related areas at the international level;
- Continuously monitoring opportunities to participate in competitions funded by European and international programs;
- Developing and submitting project proposals within European and international programs;
- Participating in conferences, workshops, roundtables, brokerage events, and meetings organized by the economic sector, with the aim of identifying new collaboration opportunities;
- Promoting INMA’s scientific and technological identity at both national and international levels by focusing on internationally competitive frontier research, research topics with national application potential, expanding interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research, while also maintaining a “constraint-free academic space” conducive to fundamental and exploratory research through participation in competitive programs.
Marketing
- Represents INMA at trade fairs and exhibitions to promote the institute and the research results obtained through ongoing projects;
- Prepares strategic studies aimed at strengthening the institute’s position on the Romanian and international markets;
- Promotes the institute through targeted outreach and promotional activities.
INMA has an active presence at scientific symposia and events, as well as national and international trade fairs and exhibitions, where it has received numerous awards over the years.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
INMA’s activities related to Intellectual Property involve collaborative relationships with institutions such as the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM – https://osim.ro/), the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization (MCID – http://www.research.gov.ro/), and others.
The Marketing Office within the department provides advisory services, as well as drafting and filing of patent applications, both at the national level (OSIM) and the European level (EPO).

- Project presentations and technical data sheets for equipment, technologies, and machinery;
- Promotional materials, posters, banners, sound systems, and audio-video-photo content for scientific events, trade fairs, and exhibitions;
- Logistical support activities for scientific events, fairs, and exhibitions.
