FIELDS OF ACTIVITY

According to Government Decision No. 1308/1996:

  1. Research – Development – Innovation activities in the field of processes, technologies, and technical equipment for the mechanization and automation of operations in agriculture and the food industry, aligned with the policies applied by the National Authority for Scientific Research in Romania.

  2. Activities related to research and development, supporting and complementing the R&D function.

  3. Professional training and specialization activities within the institute’s field of expertise.

  4. Editing and publishing of specialized scientific and technical publications.

  5. Demonstration, dissemination, and technology transfer activities for research results in the field of mechanization technologies and technical equipment for agriculture and the food industry.

  6. Exploitation and commercialization of research – development – innovation results in the field of mechanization technologies and technical equipment for agriculture and the food industry.

  7. Support activities for research, development, and innovation within the institute’s specific area of expertise.

INMA’S STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

  1. Scientific substantiation of processes in agriculture and the food industry, and the development of new mechanization technologies, tools, and technical equipment that are compatible and competitive within the European research area, in line with the concepts of SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE and FOOD SECURITY.

  2. Enhancing the technical level and performance of processes, technologies, and technical equipment intended for agriculture and the food industry, to meet EU standards and regulations, with the goal of capitalizing on Romania’s agricultural potential.

  3. Valorizing renewable energy sources (biomass, biofuels), including the development of technologies and equipment for their efficient use, while ensuring health, safety, and environmental protection.

  4. Dissemination and technology transfer of research results into the economy to support rural development and improve quality of life.
  5. Supporting R&D activities of tractor and agricultural machinery manufacturers, and providing training for equipment users, with the aim of promoting the adoption and economic development of advanced technologies.

  6. Strengthening the institute’s research infrastructure (logistics, apparatus, research equipment), conducting inter-laboratory tests, and building international partnerships to align INMA’s research with the European research area, including integration into European technology platforms.

  7. Improving the professional training level of human resources.
  8. Improving the organizational structure of the institute to facilitate scientific partnerships with similar institutions across Europe.
  9. Preparing project proposals for participation in European programs.
  10. Increasing the visibility of the institute’s activities and research results.
